She often tells me that she sobbed when she read my website -- that finally, someone understood what she was going through.
We met on Skype the next day, and she sobbed basically through the entire free 15-minute consultation.
And so began our 6-month journey of bridal counseling
There were many discouraging and dark weeks, where we slogged through the psychological trenches together.
Ashley wondered at times whether or not she'd make it to her wedding day. (You can read her story, "One Bride's Journey from Panicked to Peaceful" here.)
Six weeks before the wedding Ashley entered the Bridging Stage
We met today for her final pre-wedding session
She beamed through Skype at me. A grin that could not-- would not-- be suppressed.
Everything was coming together. All the millions of tiny details.
But most important to her was how she felt, on the inside.
Ashley can't believe how prepared she feels for her wedding
Are you feeling stressed and overwhelmed now...and want to feel calm and prepared on your wedding day? Contact me for a free 15-minute video consultation.
How relaxed she feels.
(The biggest stress today, 2 days before her wedding? Creating a frame for the caterers, to go on the bars, for their signature cocktail. "That's not a stress," I said to her. "That's a task!")
So three cheers to Ashley. Congratulations to you on all your hard work. Your wedding day will be joyful, and you will be emotionally present for all of it. Because you did this hard work of making the transition from single woman to married woman. You are ready.
We wish you all the best on your wedding day...and far beyond!
