I’m honored to be included in this thoughtful, sensitive piece in Good Housekeeping by Dina Gachman“I Didn’t Invite My Sister to My Wedding.”

Please, please give it read!

In Dina’s case, her sister was an alcoholic, and she made the very painful and difficult — but correct for her — decision to not invite her to her wedding.  Dina shares how she came to that decision and how she had that difficult conversation.

In the Good Housekeeping article, other brides describe their experiences with not inviting close family members.

And I and NYC-based therapist Heather Coleman discuss the process and offer advice on the how-tos for having these very difficult conversations with your loved one, with both compassion and boundaries.

I think it will help anyone going through this gut-wreching process.
